Welcome to Worlds Apart Games, America's first all-volunteer, collectively owned game store.
On the surface, Worlds Apart is just like any other game store. We've got a full selection of gaming books, board games, card games, and dice. We run numerous events including Magic tournaments, board game nights, and RPGs, most of which are free to attend.
What makes Worlds Apart unique is that it is run by the Pioneer Valley Gamer Collective, a non-profit organization whose mission is to use games to make the world a better place. First, they have built Worlds Apart as a space for the use of the gaming community to gather, game, and hang out. Additionally, they will work to do outreach with other organizations to use games to help with everything from non-profit fundraising to education to community development.

What: Sealed deck tournament with prizes
Entry Fee for this event will be $25.00
Tournament Structure:
The format for this event is a Swiss Rounds Sealed Deck Tournament using Dark Ascension and Innistrad. Each player will build their decks from their boosters adding as much basic land as they wish, to construct a deck of at least 40 cards. We will have basic land on site that may be borrowed for this event, just please make sure that you return any land that you borrow.
Prizes:
For this event, we have the following up for grabs....
All entrants will get a pre-release foil promo card (while supplies last) of Ravenous Demon.
Dark Ascension and Innistrad Boosters will be awarded to the top placers (total prize pool based on attendance)
The remaining 10% of the prize pool will be given out as random door prizes throughout the tournament. Card Boxes, Candy, Stickers and other merchandise will also be given out as door prizes and to the top placer(s).
Open Dueling - Players who are new to the game may want to join in the festivities without being in a tournament. There is open dueling all day Saturday and Sunday with brand new intro packs.

Special Midnight Prerelease Tournament!
Registration begin at 9pm. Build time begins promptly at midnight.
Sealed deck event. Short and sweet so we can all go to bed eventually. 30 minute build time, 3 rounds.
Prerelease promo card available for registrants.

Join us for our weekly superhero showdown. Each week is a different event with limited edition WizKids prize support. Don't have your own figures but still want to try it out? Come on by and we'll lend you a team to play with.
Each Saturday has a different "theme," so ask Doug to be on his Heroclix e-mail list to find out the themes in advance.
